May 15: This will be a busy afternoon, as students will have field day just after lunch, and then will be presenting their Curiosity Projects to parents beginning at 2:00. Parents are welcome at both events, and Mrs. Simmons would appreciate parent helpers for the field day stations.
May 18: Field trip to Ft. Knox. Much more information will come in a couple of weeks, but this is the day our class is scheduled to tour Ft. Knox. Typically, this is a popular trip to chaperone, but Ft. Knox safety policy only allows 3 parent chaperones to come on the trip. I have already had more than 3 parents express interest, and so if you are interested in being a chaperone, please let me know by Wednesday, May 6, and I will put your name in a drawing for the chaperone spots.
May 21: The last day of school will feature an all-school picnic. Look for more information about this event to come in a couple weeks.
