It has been a different couple of weeks in our class, between ice storms and sicknesses. Today we should be back on track with our homework, as students have their spelling words for this next week, as well as their regular reading and math homework. Since we have had many absences due to sickness, be sure to encourage your student to practice good hygiene to keep any of those germs at bay.
Student-led Conferences
For the third quarter, students will be leading their own conferences. Look for the note that came home today explaining the conference set up. The classroom will be open between 5 and 8 the evening of February 13 for conferences. That evening, the library is also hosting a library fun night, so families are encouraged to come enjoy the festivities as well as take some time out to hear how your student is doing. If you have any questions after looking over the conference note, please don't hesitate to contact me.
