In 4th grade, students learn about rocks, minerals and Alaska. As part of our studies of these topics, our class will be taking a field trip to the Ft. Knox Gold Mine to tour the mining operations. We will be going on May 5th, will be leaving around 9:10, and will be returning at approximately 12:45. Students will eat a late lunch at school. To make the trip a success, I will need to have 3 additional adult chaperones accompany the class. If you would like to be a chaperone, please note it on the permission slip and send it in with your child. I'll take the first three parents who are interested. It should be an interesting trip.
Fourth Grade Bowling
The fourth grade is also planning another field trip. On the last day of school, May 19th, the fourth grades will go to Arcti
Don't forget
After May 1st, students will not be able to charge a lunch. Please ensure your child has money for his/her lunch.
Microwave Lunches
We are once again finding ourselves with a long line to microwave food for lunch. This means that some students have just a few minutes to eat once they have heated their lunch. To ensure everyone a chance to eat, please help your child choose a lunch that takes less than 2 minutes to heat up. It would also be helpful if they could plan to use the microwave just a couple of times a week. Thanks for your help with this!
