The 3rd/4th grade field day will be held on Tuesday, May 20 from 1:10 - 2:45. Mrs. Simmons, the PE teacher, is seeking parent volunteers to help run the stations during the field day. If you are able to help, you can send in a quick note with contact information with your child, or email Mrs. Simmons at [email protected]. Thanks for your help!
Curiosity Projects
May 16 is rapidly approaching, and students should now be to the point where they are getting their project presentations together. Remember that students are welcome to present any way they like: they can make a movie, talk about what they learned, use Google Docs, make a poster/model, etc. If your child needs help getting materials for his/her presentation, please let me know. I have posterboard and construction paper that can be used for the projects.
I'm very excited to see and hear what students have learned, as well as hear about their Curiosity Project journey. I look forward to seeing you all on Friday from 1:30 - 2:30 as the students share their projects.
Next week:
In writing, we will begin to construct memory books for the year.
During our reading, we will work on our fluency by doing a Reader's Theater.
Math will once again be spent graphing. Ask your child what he/she knows about graphing.
During our afternoons, we will once again be exploring rocks and minerals. We will begin to look at the rock cycle.
Don't forget - Wednesday is our Ft. Knox field trip!
