In our reading class, we've been exploring the specific features of tests, and looking at the specific ways we read a test. This week, the focus has been on reading Reading tests, and how it is often helpful to read the questions before reading a passage. Next week we will look at Writing and Math tests, paying attention to how we read the tests and the strategies we use for answering the questions. Much of our discussion is focused upon the text features (ie. bold words, key words, and pictures), as well as how we can use Thinking Maps to help us plan complete answers.
Canned Food Drive
The Student Council is sponsoring a canned food drive for the Fairbanks Food Bank. If you have any extra cans of food you can send in, they would be greatly appreciated.
Next week:
In Reading, we will continue to explore how we read tests.
In Math, we will wrap up Unit 9 and begin to work on Unit 10.
In Social Studies, we will finish our culture movies.
In Writing, we will continue to look at sentence fluency.
