With the end of the quarter rapidly approaching, we are busy wrapping up projects and units, as well as squeezing in a bit more learning before our time is over this month. It is a busy time of year, with many things going on outside of school. To make these next couple of weeks go a bit smoother, it can be helpful to support your child by making sure that homework is done each night, as well as helping him/her get a good night's rest. I anticipate we will have a good couple of weeks.
Alaska Room Field Trip
Our class has the opportunity to travel to the Alaska Room, located at Anne Wein Elementary, on Wednesday, December 10. We will eat an early lunch that day, and will leave the school at 11:55. We are scheduled to return at 2:20. Parents are welcome to join us as we learn more about Alaska Native cultures and art. If you would like to join us, please let me know by either sending me an email at [email protected], or by writing me a quick note and sending it in with your child. Because this is a curriculum based field trip, a permission slip is not needed. It should be a wonderful afternoon!

During the afternoon, we will spend one hour this week doing a bit of computer coding. We will also do a bit of art, as well as continuing to research information based on the clues given to us by the beings stranded in the solar system.
