We've been working hard with fractions in math, and have mastered adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator. We're now delving into mixed numbers and improper fractions, and will begin to add and subtract mixed numbers. Students have been encouraged to model their thinking as we work through these challenging topics. If your student has still not mastered the times tables, taking a few extra minutes to practice them each night can make working with fractions go much smoother.

With all of the sniffly noses, we're still in need of some tissue. Thanks to those of you who sent a box in. If you haven't sent in a box yet, we'd sure appreciate one.
